There are lots of places to see and things to do in the Algarve but here are some tips that we are happy to share with you to make your stay that much more enjoyable:
BEACHES
We have visited these beaches and love all of them. You can locate them on any comprehensive map of the Algarve.
Praia Gale – located in Albufeira

GOLF
Experience some of the world’s most amazing golf courses with Oceanico.

Pinhal is a minute walk from the villa, and the Old Course a 15 minute walk
DAY TRIPS AND THINGS TO DO:
Carvoeiro – there are lots of beautiful beaches in this town, shops and restaurants – you can scuba dive there too.
Portimaõ – lots of beaches and shopping in this town.
Monchique – in the mountains. We suggest you stay a night or two there as a bit of a drive from the Villa.
Silves
Lagos
Vilamoura Marina – we suggest you go on a day or late afternoon boat cruise from the Marina – you can have a barbeque on the boat and enjoy Portuguese cuisine at its best. There are also gambling facilities, restaurants, bars and night clubs at the Marina.
Sagres
Quarteira – go for a walk along the promenade in old Quarteira. Should you want to have a fish barbeque at the villa, there is a fabulous fish market you can explore.
Loulé – there are old markets in this cobbled street town where beautiful Portuguese textiles and pottery can be purchased. Lots of restaurants to explore.
Algarve Shopping
There are lots of water slide parks in the Algarve which is a fun day if you have children.
RESTAURANTS
There are so many great places to eat in the Algarve but here a few suggested restaurants:
Marufo No 1 and 2 restaurant – Quarteira
Ramires restaurant – Guia
Lots of great seafood restaurants in Old Quarteira and Loulé.
Almancil town has lots of great seafood restaurants where the sea bass and clams are delectable.
